Hello, I'm Abby Hilton, and I'm running for Secretary-Treasurer of IATSE Local 479. I’m a Georgia native and have spent the last decade here in Atlanta. Growing up as a local "theater kid," I developed a deep appreciation for our community and the people who make our industry thrive. In 2015, I transitioned from teaching theater in public schools to teaching on set, joining IATSE Local 479 as a set teacher.

Over the past three years, it’s been my privilege to serve as your Secretary-Treasurer. Worker’s rights and the labor movement are a passion of mine, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to take such an active role in these fields as a labor representative.

Outside of the film industry, I enjoy gaming—video games, board games, and tabletop—exploring the outdoors, and attempting to keep my plants alive.
